Mission

Women & Money Logo

There are limited structures and systems that address the actual conversations and awareness of issues of money.

More importantly issues of the values that many women carry in invisible and unacknowledged ways in communities are not seen as valuable. Women as pollinators of communities track the vitality, create the vitality, birth the vitality of a community and yet they are often unrepresented in the hierarchal infrastructures and institutions that drive economics and the way in which money, financial assets and economic power is defined and controlled.

In holding an art exhibit on the theme of “women and money,” we seek a creative and human perspective on the topic. How women think about and value money, the emotional impact of the wealth disparity, and the ways in which money (or lack thereof) affects female identity, money and its emotional and relational impact, are the some of the important questions that we invite female artists to explore.
